Three Kapital Bank employees named among winners of the 5th “Yukselish” leadership competition

The official results of the 2025 season of “Yukselish,” one of Azerbaijan’s most prominent leadership development competitions, have been announced. After a rigorous evaluation process, 124 participants advanced to the final round, with only 20 ultimately earning the title of winner. Among these exceptional individuals are three employees of Kapital Bank: Toğrul Khalilov, Goshgar Dashdiyev, and Mammad Hasanov. This is the highest result among the companies whose representatives were selected as winners.
Toğrul Khalilov, currently Director of the Sales Channels Department at Kapital Bank, brings nearly a decade of experience in financial services. Since joining the bank in 2015, he has held several senior roles, including leadership positions in mortgage lending, partner network management, and retail banking. He has led the Sales Channels Department since 2023.
Goshgar Dashdiyev began his career at Kapital Bank as a specialist in the Sales Channels division and has steadily progressed to become Manager of the Direct Sales and Services Department. His professional journey is a testament to his commitment to continuous growth and leadership.
Mammad Hasanov, who joined Kapital Bank in 2023, is a Product Owner in the Retail Risk Technologies division. With a strong background in risk technology, he brings deep expertise to the bank’s innovation efforts in data-driven decision-making and risk management.
“Yukselish” was established by a Presidential Decree issued by H.E. Ilham Aliyev on July 26, 2019. The competition aims to identify and support young, high-potential leaders and strengthen leadership capabilities across various sectors in Azerbaijan. The selection process includes five stages: registration, online assessment, in-person evaluation, semifinals, and the final stage.
At the semifinal level, candidates are assessed across nine core competencies: strategic thinking, effective leadership, decision-making, result orientation, performance management, adaptability, innovative thinking, teamwork and collaboration, and ethics and integrity. In the final stage, candidates are evaluated through the “Managerial Roles Model” using the globally recognized Assessment Conference method, an evidence-based and multidimensional evaluation process widely regarded as one of the most objective and reliable methodologies for leadership assessment worldwide.
