New appointments at Kapital Bank
Several new appointments have taken place at Kapital Bank OJSC by the decision of the Supervisory Board. Thus, Cavid Mirzayev, Member of the Management Board and former Chief Risk Officer, has been appointed Chief Retail Business Officer of the bank.
Cavid Mirzayev received his bachelor's degree in Finance and Credit from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics between 2000 and 2004, and his master’s degree in State Regulation of the Economy between 2006 and 2009. From 2018 to 2020, he completed the Executive MBA program at the London Business School. He began his career at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan as an economist and later held the position of Head of Off-Site Supervision Division of the Banking Supervision Department. Since 2014, he has been working at Kapital Bank, where he has served as Director of the Risk Management Department and Chief Risk Officer. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Management Board.
According to another decision of the Supervisory Board, Agharza Bakhshiyev, who previously led the bank's Organizational Risk and Information Security Office, has been entrusted with new responsibilities. He will now continue his professional activity as a Member of the Management Board and the new Chief Risk Officer.
It should be noted that Agharza Bakhshiyev received his bachelor's degree in International Economics from the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy between 2006 and 2010. He completed his master’s degree in Economics at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) from 2010 to 2013. He began his career in the banking sector in 2007 and held senior positions at Unibank from 2012 to 2014 and at DemirBank from 2014 to 2015. Since 2015, he has been working at Kapital Bank, where he has served as Head of the ERM and Analytics Division, Deputy Director and Director of Risk Management, and Head of the Organizational Risk and Information Security Office.
Following the new appointments, Kapital Bank's Management Board will continue its activities with a total of seven members under the leadership of Farid Huseynov.
