The exhibition will feature a series of carpets by the founder of the AFFFAIR brand, the world famous Azerbaijani designer Rufat Ismail, whose works of art are kept in the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Each of the 5 carpet samples included in the collection was released in a limited edition of 25 pieces. One copy of each of these modern carpet samples was donated to the collection of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum in order to preserve, modernize and pass on the cultural heritage to future generations.
The keystone of the modern collection of carpets is to show that the Azerbaijani carpet is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, decoration of the family hearth, a rare piece of art that gives a special energy to the interior. The main objective of the project, dedicated to the Karabakh Victory and inspired by Azerbaijani carpets, in particular the Karabakh School of carpet weaving, is to preserve historical traditions in modern directions.
