Manage your personal cabinet of the portal www.edvgerial.az via the BirBank mobile app!
As previously reported, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the financial partnership of Kapital Bank, launched a portal www.edvgerial.az for consumers a few months ago. Using the portal, consumers can refund 15% of the VAT amount for non-cash payments, 10% for cash payments made in retail outlets. These funds will be reflected on the buyer's electronic cabinet 30 days after receipt's date of issue. According to statistics from the State Tax Service, until July 10, 2020, about 365 thousand people registered on the portal, and about 5 million manat were refunded to consumers based on receipts.
As part of the project, another important innovation was presented to users of the BirBank mobile app. The special section called “ƏDV geri al” (“VAT Refund”) has been created in the “Bonuses” menu of BirBank. Customers will now be able to manage their personal cabinet of the portal via BirBank. Funds deposited to a virtual wallet of the portal www.edvgerial.az, can be transferred to payment cards of local banks and used for non-cash payments.
It should be noted that to return part of the VAT, the consumer must apply through the portal within 90 days from the day following the date of issue of the receipt and add information about the receipt to the electronic cabinet – the 12-character fiscal number (ID). In addition, a consumer can also use the “QR Pay” service of the BirBank mobile app, scan the QR code of the receipt and add it to the portal much faster and more convenient. To use this service, both the portal and BirBank must register using the same mobile number.
